THE Chris Edwards School of Ballet celebrated a beautiful year of dance with its end of year concert – Hosanna and Hope.
Staged in the Tin Shed Theatre last week, the performance also featured a Christmas blessing.
Miss Chris said she was absolutely thrilled with the concert.
“It was beautiful,” Miss Chris enthused.
There were a total of 91 performers on stage during the concert, which focused on the true meaning and joy of Christmas.
Former students also returned to be a part of the concert.
“2012 has been a beautiful year of dancing with some wonderful memories to keep forever in that special little box of treasures,” Miss Chris said.
“It has been a pleasure having the very talented Jessica Roxburgh teaching with us this year and she will continue teaching in 2013,” she said.
Miss Chris said that she was incredibly proud to be affiliated with the Royal Academy of Dance, which is leading the world in their education and training and is recognised internationally for the highest standards of teaching and learning.
Miss Chris also paid tribute to her Jazz teacher Megan Field and two of her students – Bridgitt Ryan and Susie Alderman, who taught contemporary classes this year.
“It has been a privilege to watch them both grow and mature into the lovely young women they are today,” Miss Chris said.
Miss Chris thanked parents for entrusting her school with their beautiful children.
“One of my personal teaching joys continues to be watching the development of the little people from Baby Ballet through to grade eight,” Miss Chris said.
